Quick Start

This section explains how to get started with SIMRIG Control Center. Have a look at the other sections for a more in-depth explanation of its operation.

Look at the Installation section if you have not yet installed the program.

Go ahead and start SIMRIG Control Center.

This is what you will see when you start the program for the first time:

We have a single device connected to our system. This is apparent by the green box in the middle of the screen and the message: “Connected to 1 device”.

Calibration

SIMRIG SR1 requires calibration at every cold-start. Our system is not yet calibrated as indicated by the message “Calibration required” in the red rectangle below.

Calibrating the system is easy. First, enable motion by pressing the Enable button. Then, start a supported game and get in a car. Calibration starts automatically when the car enters the track.

Caution

The calibration procedure will automatically move the rig to its lowest position and then raise it again. This happens quickly. Make sure to keep the area under the rig clear of obstacles.

Car and Game Selection

The software comes pre-configured with a selection of cars. It is recommended to try one of these the first time.

  • Assetto Corsa – BMW M3 E30 Group A
  • iRacing – Global Mazda MX-5 Cup
  • Project CARS 2 – Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 ‘69 TransAm
  • Race Room Racing Experience – Volvo 240 Turbo

Other cars require a profile to work properly. Read more about profiles and auto-tuning.

Some games, like Project CARS 2, does not work out of the box. They require that telemetry is enabled. See Supported Games for more information.
